The negotiations process is full of opportunities to build or ruin relationships and trust. Come learn and share about how to establish a framework for negotiations that may build, repair and/or strengthen relationships between the Board, the negotiations team and professional associations partners.

Superintendents, lead negotiators and upper-level central office school district leaders must know the basics of negotiations and must consider how to lead their system through the process in a way that effectively manages the relational dynamics of collective bargaining. This should be done with intentionality and purpose. Leaders should take time to develop a plan for guiding their district through the negotiations process in a way that builds relationships and trust.
